This was my 17th year walking 26.2 miles, and it is still very fresh in my memory when six weeks after my surgery and 3 days before I began treatment in 2008, I walked with 12 of my amazing, beautiful girlfriends. They walked every step with me so that I would never be alone.  That continues to inspire me every year I walk in honor of all the women who are battling this disease and the families who have lost their loved ones.
