TBBCF Timeline 2019 - 2021
As we continue our 20th anniversary celebrations, we share more of the Foundation’s history and highlights – from 2019 to 2021. It is this history that raised more than $7 million for breast cancer research, giving 100%.
2019
In January...
- Scientific Advisory Board awards $400,000 to four breast cancer researchers. Anna Garrido-Castro, MD and Veerle Daniels, PhD of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; JingHu, PhD of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; and Laura Spring, MD of Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. Article here.

- Dr. Michael Garabedian, NYU professor and a founding member of TBBCF’s Scientific Advisory Board, is keynote speaker at TBBCF’s 13th Annual Meeting. Article here
- TBBCF announces top 2018 fundraisers. They are individuals and groups who have always gone above and beyond and given more than 100 percent in fundraising efforts: they host events, they run promotions, they walk as individuals and they establish walk teams. Article here

In January
- Adrienne Waks, MD, thanks TBBCF for its support. Dr. Waks was a junior researcher in 2018 at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute when she received her first ever grant. Article here

- TBBCF awarded $400,000 in grants to four researchers: Daniel L. - TBBCF celebrates 15 years of raising funds to help find a cure for breast cancer and supporting the careers of over 50 breast cancer researchers working to find a cure.
In April
- TBBCF working behind the scenes to update their imaging and messaging. Logos and color palette will change but Logan’s promise will not change.

- Marcie Brensilver, a founding TBBCF member and 30-year breast cancer survivor, is named 2021 Honorary Walk Chair. Article here
