For the past twelve years, Chuck Bowe and his crew of workers and corporate sponsors at Grand Wine and Spirits have raised thousands of dollars through their Pink Ribbon Campaign to benefit TBBCF. In 2020 TBBCF honored Bowe for his decade of contributions and awarded him membership to the 27th Mile Club, established to recognize those who routinely go above and beyond on a regular basis to help the foundation.

The Great Neck Country Club Women’s Association has raised more than $60,000 over the last several years for the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation at their yearly golf tournament. In 2017 it was inducted into the TBBCF 27th Mile Club, a designation given to those who go “above and beyond ” in their efforts to raise money for breast cancer research.

When you consider that most breast cancers (80%) occur in women over the age of 50, that 63% of Realtors in Eastern CT are female, and that 56% of female Realtors are over 50, it’s no surprise that breast cancer is a top concern for members of the Eastern CT Association of Realtors. The Affiliate Committee first suggested doing a Spirit of Pink Wine Tasting fundraiser in 2014, and since then TBBCF has become a top recipient of ECAR’s fundraising efforts.

Steak Night was a success! I would like to thank Eric, Polly, Cheryl, Rick, and Rod at the Eye for all your hard work in making this a success.  Thank you to the Posse for always coming together to pull off a great event and thank you to all that attended.

As you know, I am a breast cancer survivor and TBBCF became very near and dear to me 15 years ago. It truly touches my heart when I see the generosity that surrounds this event. Ivoryton Tavern celebrates completing it’s 3rd annual Cupcakes for Elaine fundraiser for the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Elaine Whitby. Thank you to our Ivoryton community for your support in helping us reach our goals.

Jeremy Han and the staff at The Shack Restaurants have been fundraising for TBBCF since 2006. While they missed 2020 due to the pandemic, they were back the past two years fundraising during breast cancer awareness month each October.

In the last seven years, this softball tournament has raised money for TBBCF in honor and memory of Aimee Reed. Aimee was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2015, and succumbed to this disease in August, 2018. She was a young, avid athlete participating in their softball tournaments and in triathlons, even during her chemo treatments. Aimee also walked and volunteered for TBBCF.

In October, 2022, Electric Boat Fire Department members presented representatives of the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation with a check for $4,500. The team raised the money selling t-shirts throughout the month of September. (Source: General Dynamics, Electric Boat EBNews)

Buttonwood Farms’ has supported the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation over the last few years by donating 100% of the proceeds from every sundae to TBBCF on Mothers’ Day.
