Jeremy and his crew at his three Shack Restaurants have raised thousands of dollars for TBBCF over the past decade.
Not only that, but Jeremy has helped us create a fundraising model for Breast Cancer Awareness month both in southeastern Connecticut and western Rhode Island that has been copy/pasted into numerous other breast cancer awareness events.
It’s a great model … they do all the work, we advertise via our social media network, participate in some of the marketing pieces, but in the end, Jeremy takes on the challenge and is always happy to present a check to the foundation for The Shack’s efforts.
We traced the Shack’s early involvement with TBBCF to an employee, Samantha Tonucci who began walking marathons in 2006 That’s when JR Shack in East Lyme and the Shack Restaurant in Waterford began their month-long fundraising campaigns raising awareness about TBBCF and funds for the walk.
Jeremy hit the streets as a walker in 2010. He has been a registered full marathoner and a top tier walk fundraiser since her started.
Somehow he manages three restaurants, takes an active role in helping raise his two children with his wife, Stephanie and is a role model on the importance of community service.
His goal is to “not have to walk anymore because we have found a cure!”
