Credit union pledges $100,000 in matching donations

By KATHLEEN EDGECOMB

Charter Oak Credit Union is again matching qualified charitable donations made by its members between Aug. 18 and Nov. 25, 2020. You can now double your donation to Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

The credit union will give away $100,000 in 100 days in its Matching Gifts Program. It is Charter Oak’s commitment to give back to nonprofits that are important to its members.

Charter Oak members can submit a request for a matching donation in $25 increments, up to $500. Guidelines and forms are available at www.charteroak.org. Look for the Matching Gifts Program under the community giving section on the homepage.

Charter Oak says it’s simple, “We give back because it is part of the foundation from which credit unions were built on — people helping people — and we’re proud to offer our members the opportunity to maximize their charitable donations through our Matching Gifts Program.”
