A top supporter’s Mother’s Day message
My mother was my everything. She was my best friend … when I walked, she was so weak but she needed to be there to support me and I was there to support her. We had a bond like no other. When she finally passed, a part of me passed too. She was 68.
Laureen Sullivan is a past member of the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation Board of Directors, and has volunteered in many capacities for the organization. She has walked a portion of the annual marathon for the past eight years and has raised nearly $20,000. Her mother died in 2013 after battling breast cancer that had spread to her bones, lungs, eye and stomach. Laureen believes in the TBBCF mission of giving 100 percent of gross fundraising dollars directly to breast cancer research.
