Martin Luther King, Jr. asked, ‘What are you doing for others?’ Have you met the Brensilvers?
Howie Brensilver is a founding board member of the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation, serving continuously since 2006. His wife Marcie Brensilver has been one of the top TBBCF Walk for a Cure fundraisers and volunteers for the past 19 years. The couple generously give of their time, energy, and devotion to a cause.
Learning that Howie and Marcie were recently honored as Volunteers of the Month with the New London Community Meal Center was no surprise to TBBCF.
As we learned from the New London Community Meal Center, the couple is part of a Temple Emanu-El group that shares pasta and meatball dinner meals for the hungry in the community once a month, and on Christmas Eve. From start to finish, they provide the food, cook the meal, serve, and clean up!
“Marcie has been volunteering at the meal center for over 30 years and enjoys working in the kitchen. Howard joined her in 2007 after retiring from his job as a physician in New London and primarily works in the dish room,” the Community Meal Center wrote on Facebook.
Like the New London Community Meal Center, TBBCF thanks and honors the Brensilvers for all they do.
