Terri Savino has been involved with TBBCF either as a walker or volunteer for ten years.
Terri did the full marathon for two years, the half marathon for six years, volunteered for registration one year and volunteered with the pit stop crew for seven years. As you can see, many years she did both the walk and volunteered.
Initially it was to support Tim and the kids. Terri Brodeur was a friend of mine through girl scouts, school, PTO and church. I continue to support this organization because I believe in their fight. Since the walk started I have lost an Aunt to breast cancer and I have several close friends that are breast cancer survivors.
I continue to be involved for the Brodeur family, in memory of Terri, Tim and Norma, and because we need to find a cure for this disease.
I did the very first walk as a full marathon walker. It was long and painful, and very emotional. It took my breath away when all of the breast cancer survivors walked under our arms. Each walk has continued to be a special journey. Walking with friends to find a cure. It is special to cross that finish line with your friends and everyone cheering you on, all in support of breast cancer research.
