By SANDY MANISCALCO

The Women’s Golf Association of Old Lyme Country Club held its 13th annual Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation Golf Tournament on July 18. It is the longest standing annual fundraiser in TBBCF history.

Organizers Hyla Cohen and Mary Kate Cox had a goal of surpassing last year’s results. Donations continue to come in and they expect to exceed the $6,000 raised in 2018.

More than 50 golfers participated in the scramble and about 60 attended the following luncheon, which also featured a raffle and silent auction.

The tournament was open to all club members. 100% of the proceeds from the tournament benefit TBBCF.

Luncheon keynote speaker was Amy Caster, TBBCF Director of Development and Outreach. Also representing the foundation was Kate Davis, Director of Operations and 2019 Walk Director.
