CT pharmacy professionals support TBBCF

TBBCF chosen as women in pharmacy charity of the year

By SANDY MANISCALCO

Thank you to The Connecticut Pharmacists Association for choosing the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation (TBBCF) as its charity recipient at the association’s inaugural Women in Pharmacy Summit May 31 and June 1 held at The Spa at Norwich Inn. The association voted to donate a portion of all registration fees to a local women-oriented charity.

Lisa Bragaw, RPh, Zen and Now Yoga Studio owner and Connecticut Pharmacists Association board chairman, presented TBBCF’s director of development and outreach, Amy Caster, and events and promotions committee chair, Deb Gillig with a check for $500 during the May 31 gala banquet.

Bragaw, a TBBCF founding member, an original Logan’s Hero and a long-time supporter, spoke briefly about the foundation and her personal involvement with founder, Norma Logan. She also encouraged the attendees to sign up for the walk in October. Caster, herself a breast cancer survivor and long-time walker and walk leadership volunteer, spoke briefly about the upcoming walk and the importance of sponsors and volunteers.
