Mystic Aquarium Celebrates Walkers, Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation ‘Walk for a Cure’ walkers are the very heart of our fundraising in support of scientists dedicated to breast cancer research and finding a cure. Our sponsors are the backbone of support for the Foundation, helping us to continue on the mission Norma Logan envisioned: a breast cancer cure discovered by the research science the Foundation funds. Fully 100 percent of all donations go directly to breast cancer research.
So when a sponsor steps up to honor and celebrate TBBCF ‘Walk for a Cure’ walkers, that generosity does not go unnoticed.
TBBCF Platinum Sponsor, the Mystic Aquarium, has done just that. Registrants for the 19th annual Walk for a Cure, set for Oct. 5, will receive a free general admission ticket to the Aquarium. That gift is available to each of the anticipated 350+ walkers.
In a message to its membership, the Mystic Aquarium also plans to highlight the TBBCF mission of funding breast cancer research by lighting its main entrance in pink. The light will be lit on the evening of Oct. 1, and will remain lit throughout October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in recognition of TBBCF.
“Join the walk and help be part of the cure,” the Aquarium noted in their newsletter.
